High frequency watches became a focus for the author after compiling a list of calibers. They acquired a vintage Grand Seiko 45GS 4520-8000, belonging to the classical era, and detailed the historical evolution of the brand. The watch adheres to the 'Nine Enduring Elements' of Grand Seiko Style.

Acquiring the Spring Drive SBGY009 from a boutique event, the author praises its playful dial, thin profile, and absence of a date function, showcasing a preference for newer GS watches with updated movements.

Grand Seiko releases the SBGH376, an 18k yellow gold watch inspired by cherry blossoms. It features thin indices, an in-house Hi-Beat automatic calibre 9S85, and measures 38 x 12.9 mm with a water resistance of 100 m.

The vintage inspired GS watch, a 600 piece reissue in steel from 2015, is a faithful recreation of the original 62GS design. With no bezel, box crystal, and strong angles, it exudes a classic elegance.
